Each Survey team consists of dedicated Surveyor, assistant surveyor, total station instrument, GPS receivers and digital level and staves. They also have the availability of a laptop and bespoke survey software at their disposal for in field processing.

GPS and Control Networks

Tritech Rail’s primary use of this equipment and technology is the creation and computation of large survey control networks, but is not wholly restricted to this use. Large scale Topographic Surveys are undertaken by means of RTK and post processing GPSA survey methods, to enable coverage of expansive areas quickly and effectively.

Surveys

Tritech Rail primarily use 1” Total Stations with optional reflectorless (non-contact) measurement. All instruments are configured robotically.

Dependent upon client/contract specification GPS co-ordinates are ascertained for primary control points. Sites are traversed, spirit leveled by digital levels.

Processing is undertaken utilizing bespoke software and output can be in many formats to meet project or client specific requirements.

Setting out and Monitoring

Tritech Rail provides numerous services for setting out and monitoring using a variety of bespoke software dependent upon application. We have specialist equipment and software for the Rail Industry and bespoke adaptations for other areas.

Monitoring can be undertaken at high frequency over long periods and provides instantaneous results direct to the machine, computer located on site or at the office. Analysis can be immediate to provide real time solutions to any problems encountered.
